Geographically, the route is perfectly positioned: the Panorama Route combines exceptionally well with a stay in Kruger National Park. It is the ideal way to add some peace and nature to your trip before heading into the bush, or to unwind and reflect on all your safari adventures afterwards.

The area is a fantastic destination for an active holiday with children. From tobogganing on the Long Tom Toboggan to hiking to hidden waterfalls, there is plenty of adventure to enjoy. It is also an ultimate paradise for keen walkers, with challenging trails leading you through rugged nature and along deep ravines.

Our insider tip: Magoebaskloof
Although the Panorama Route is breathtaking, the well-known spots can sometimes be busy. Do you want to travel beyond the obvious ? Then drive a little further to the Magoebaskloof area. This fairytale-like, misty mountain region is much less well known, but in our view it is certainly no less impressive than the Panorama Route.

In Magoebaskloof, you drive through lush indigenous forests and discover small-scale organic coffee plantations where you can taste the finest local coffee. It is a peaceful area full of hidden waterfalls and impressive cliffs. If you look up carefully among the trees, you may spot the rare samango monkey (which lives only in dense forests). For those seeking peace and nature lovers, this is an absolute favourite.
