The absolute best time to visit Vilanculos and the archipelago is during the dry and milder winter months, from  May to October . During this period, the skies are clear blue, humidity is low and temperatures of around 25 to 28 degrees are wonderfully pleasant. What is more, the sea is often calm and crystal clear during these months, providing the very best conditions for snorkelling and diving.
