Some destinations are made to be explored at a leisurely pace. Namibia is one of them. This remarkable self-drive takes you through a country where landscapes constantly reinvent themselves. Towering red dunes give way to endless gravel plains. Impressive canyons disappear into ancient deserts, while wildlife-rich savannahs emerge where you least expect them.

This journey has been specially designed for anyone who values exceptional accommodation just as much as an unforgettable experience. It combines the most iconic highlights with carefully selected, high-end lodges that are destinations in their own right. This makes the route the ultimate blueprint for a luxury Namibia holiday. Whether you are enjoying a sundowner overlooking Fish River Canyon, flying above the world's oldest desert or ending the day at a waterhole where elephants gather, every stop has been chosen for a specific reason. Thanks to this unique combination of romance, privacy and adventure, it is also the perfect choice for an African honeymoon.

At the same time, the route's excellent safety and comfort provide the basis for an exclusive family holiday in Africa. Although this is a self-drive route, Namibia is one of the easiest countries on the continent to travel through independently. The roads are generally well maintained and there is hardly any traffic. This makes for a relaxing travel experience, which is ideal for a family holiday in Africa or an adventurous tour of Africa with children. Every day brings a new landscape waiting for you beyond the horizon.
